A1: Anfanger

This stage corresponds to the level A1 on the European scale.

The study of grammar begins (simple syntactic construction, the system of parts of speech, simple tenses) Students learn topics like telling about themselves, home and family, health, free time, travel. Upon completion of this level, the students will be able to understand German speech, keep up a conversation on everyday topics, introduce and tell about himself, ask for direction, make order in a restaurant, make purchases.
